A Skeleton is a common hostile mob that shoots arrows and drops 0-2 bones, 0-2 arrows, armor (if equipped), and/or a bow (most likely used, however, there is a small chance a bow may be enchanted). They have primarily ranged mobs that the player encounters while in the overworld. Skeletons (before 1.13) are currently only one of two mobs that drop bones, the other being a Wither skeleton. Bones can be used to tame dogs and can be crafted into bone meal, which is used to speed up the growth process of saplings and crops.
· Halloween
On the 31st October of every year, i-e, Halloween
The skeletons have a 40% chance of spawning with wearing a
carved pumpkin on their head. And an 18% chance of wearing a jack o’ lantern.
I think this makes it more difficult to fight with a skeleton
because due to the pumpkin or jack o’ lantern, the skeletons didn’t burn by the
sunlight, in the day. So, you wanted to kill that annoying skeleton.
· Accuracy
The accuracy of hitting arrows by the skeletons depends
on the active difficulty level, at which you play the game.
1. At the easy
level, 1 of the 10 arrows, that the skeleton shoots, hits you.
2. At the
normal level, 1 of the 4 arrows, that the skeleton shoots, hits you.
3. At the hard
level, 1 of the 2 arrows, that the skeleton shoots, hits you.
· Skeleton’s bow
Skeleton |
The bow is the most common and the most favorite weapon of the
skeleton. The holding style of the bow by the skeleton is changed three times.
1. At first,
skeletons hold the bow as it a normal thing that they hold in their hands. See
the picture.
2. The second time, the skeleton holds the bow in both hands.
3. And
finally, this changed to the style that we see today.
· Skeletons do not have lungs
Yes, did you ever observe that skeleton never drown?
When a skeleton is sunk underwater, it did not suffocate or
change into another mob, like zombies changed into drowns.
But they did not stop shooting their arrows when they under
the water. This made them too annoying.
Skeleton with a sword |
· Skeleton with a sword
Yes, like the wither skeletons, the normal skeletons
sometimes spawn with a sword.
This is actually very rare. Do you think so?
With a sword, a skeleton deal damage of 1 heart in easy
mode, 1 heart in normal mode, and 1.5 hearts in the hard mode.
A skeleton, with a sword, is actually able to wear armor and
pick up tools that they found on the ground.
· Skeletons everywhere
Yes, after the ender man, the skeleton is the only mob that
you can found in the overworld, along with the nether world.
Skeletons are usually found in the Soul Sand Valley biome of
the nether, and they found in other biomes very rarely.
Like the Crimson Forest biome, Wrapped Biome and the Common
Nether wastes biome.
I think the wither skeletons feel lonely, so Mojang sends the
skeletons into the nether to accompany the wither skeletons.
· Skeleton & Creeper
Yes, you can get rare items by using these two mobs in a
correct way.
1. If a creeper
is killed by the arrows of a skeleton, so there will be a 100% chance of dropping
a music disc, which is random 1 of the 12 discs of Minecraft.
2. If a skeleton is killed by a Charged Creeper, then there will be a 100% chance of
getting the skull of the skeleton.
· Spider Jockeys
Spider jockey |
I know that you heard about the chicken jockeys of Minecraft, but you ever heard about the spider jockeys.
Yes, it is very rare to see a spider jockey, i-e, a skeleton riding on a spider. It is looking very creepy.
They both attack the player but they didn’t share their health. It means that if you kill one of them, so you need to kill the other also.
· Infinite arrows
Back in the earlier days of Minecraft,
In the survival test phrase, you have actually infinite
source of arrows.
Yes, you heard right, when you kill a skeleton in early
versions, you can collect the arrows that the skeleton shoots.
I think this was an awesome feature.
· Stray
The stray is one of three mobs added in The Frost burn
Update. This mob is biome-specific. It is a variation of a skeleton that wears
torn clothing. Its behavior is also similar to a skeleton.
When the stray hits a player with an arrow, the player will
be temporarily affected by Slowness. It will only inflict Slowness I, which
means it can get away from a player easier if it wishes to do so and if they're
not already cornered.
